Just a quick Update!

Well we made it through Christmas!! Yippee!

I heard from the lady who purchased the word book, she recieved it and LOVED it! I'm so happy! I'm also thrilled that everything worked out for us both, you hear a lot of bad stories about people buying things over the internet, and this was one of those GREAT experiences.

With the kids heading back to school soon, and the cold winter months upon us, why not drop by my Stampin Up! website and check out all their great stamps......you'll love their stuff, and they offer lots of accessories too......terrific punches, stamp pads, gorgeous paper........drop on by, just click on the link to my Stampin' Up! website on the top right hand side.

I'm hoping to be more crafty come the new year......got lots of great new toys for my crafts from my darling hubby, now I just need to find some time!

Take care, till next time

My Favorite Christmas Card

I love this christmas card that I designed. The texture is so rich, the wreath just pops out at you. Unfortunately I noticed AFTER I made the card that the printing had smeared!!! Darn printer!!! Well I'll have to put some time aside and make a batch of these. Hopefully sometime in the near future you'll be seeing them in my ETSY shop - without the smearing!!!!

Here's a peek at a few other cards I have too!

Getting Excited!!!

I'm doing my first ever craft show this weekend coming up, and I've been working feverishly today trying to get some stock made to sell. I've worked on a few new items, gift card holders in a match pack style for one. They turned out pretty good, but I haven't had a chance to photograph them yet. I've also made a bunch of new christmas cards, some singles and some sets. I have to start thinking about my table and how to set it up! My DD is probably more excited than I am. She's my biggest fan, and always pushes me to sell, sell, sell!!! If it weren't for her I probably wouldn't even be doing the show, I love her to bits! She's volunteered to help me that day too, so it'll be doubly fun, spending time with my DD and selling cards, how great is that!!!

Well I'm off for the evening, creating can be very tiring.....LOL!!!!

Pretty Little Birdy Notecards

I just loved this sweet little birdy stamp when I saw him, and thought he would do great sending a little message to someone special. I paired him up with some terrificly textured cards and voila, a cute little Notecard set.
This is a set of four notecards with envelopes, I'm hoping to get into my Etsy shop shortly.

In the meantime, I'm so excited today, my littlest one is dying to see High School Musical 3 so we're gonna give it a try! I hope there isn't too much of a crowd, guess maybe I'll get there about an hour early......just in case. Can't wait to see the look on her face when the movie starts! This is what I became a mom for!!!

Take care and see you again soon,

Birthday Wishes Card

This is one of my favorite cards that I have made, I'm actually quite proud of it! I love the colours, and using kraft paper lately has become my favorite also. Iused all my new stamps from Stampin' Up! and papers and ink. The main stamp on the front, I call wild flowers is probably one of my all time favorites. I love the simple, light and airy look of it.

If you ever want to purchase one of my cards, you can visit my Etsy shop, or just email me.

Enjoy and take care.

Custom Wedding Scrapbook Album........is Complete!!!!

Here's some photos (although not very good ones!) of a wedding album I recently completed! I'm so excited, I really hope she loves it. She had requested a tropical romantic feel, I hope I achieved that.
If you're ever interested in a custom order, you can just email me. I love doing anything paper related and you'd be surprised at what we can come up with!

Christmas is Coming.......well sort of!

I have officially made my first set of Christmas cards! I know, what was I thinking, it's only the beginning of October.
Well I was so thrilled when I received my new Stampin' Up! stamps that I made these cards with all my new stuff. I have to say I'm really impressed with the quality of the Stampin' Up! papers, and the colours are great. I used the Earth Tones, just love them.
Anyhow I'll be putting these up in my Etsy shop in a couple of days. Hope everyone likes them.
Oh and I'm doing my first ever Craft show on Nov 8th! I'm so excited! I really have to get working on making some stock to sell though. I have a ton of ideas in my head, but not a lot of crafting time.

Did I mention I'm half way through the custom wedding scrapbook that I'm making. I'm so happy with it, but feel so bad. I've taken so long to do this for a friend and feel awful about it......maybe I'll make a few extra goodies for her.

If you have a moment, come on over to my etsy shop and check them out.

I'm working hard on my custom ordered wedding album for a friend right now and haven't had a chance to list or design any new cards. But I expect to be finished the album in a week or so, so check back here and I'll let you see a sneek peek of the album when it's done.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Hand made Gift Bag

I die cut this cute little gift bag from sturdy packing or wrapping paper. I'm really into the 'kraft' type paper right now. It's something a little different for me and was so pleased with it that I decided to put it up for sale in my shop. I think it's the perfect little bag for jewellery or gift cards. The bag is approx 3.75 x 6 inches. As you can tell I'm also still into the plum/berry colours right now too.

Visit my Etsy shop if you are interested in purchasing this pretty little handmade gift bag.

Oh and don't forget, if you love stamping as much as I do, check out my Stampin' Up! website, the link is on the right at the top of the page.........you can even order online right through my website. So exciting!

Breast Cancer Awareness Cards for Charity

Loopy, this is for you!!!

Another friend who I've met through the message boards is doing the 60K walk for Breast Cancer in 2009 and I wanted to try and help her earn some donations for this wonderful cause. I decided to design a greeting card for her, and this is the result. I've made 10 cards in all so far. If they are a success, I'll gladly contribute more.

Just listed the cards in my Etsy shop now, so if you like you can go take a look at them, and maybe even buy one...... :)
I've always wanted to do something for this worthy cause, aside from just making a monetary donation, and now I'm very thrilled to have met Loopy and thought of a way of using my craft to help others.

Take care and thanks for visiting,

Hello Again!!

Hey there, I've seriously neglected by blog this summer.......sorry!

With the kids home and all the stuff you try and cram in with them over the summer, things get pushed to the side, unfortunately this is one of them. But hey, things are looking up! The kids go back to school next week so I might get a little more me time. Time to create new cards for the shop, time to clean the house, maybe even do some laundry.......hehe!

I also need to spend some time on the blog and try and revamp it a bit. I have lots of friends with blogs now, new friends I've met through my Etsy shop, and I really want to be able to share them with everyone, and get links added here for them. I also realized I don't know how to use this blog that well. I've seen some beautiful blogs where the girls have been able to showcase their shop goods and I would love to learn how to do that as well.

So hopefully beginning next week, I'll be able to update more often, add the links that I want to and spruce this baby up a bit to make it more fun and interesting and informative.

Of course I'm always interested in any comments, so you can add those too if you wish!

Take care everyone and enjoy the last long weekend of the summer.

PS, did I mention I have family coming over for the weekend......yipee I get to spend a couple of days with my niece, we're all so excited to have them come and visit, and of course we're looking forward to seeing my brother and SIL too!

Bye for now!

Saturday, May 31, 2008

Hello Again!

Well its been awhile since I last posted. Things got really hectic and then we left for vacation. Well we're home now, disney was awesome, and I have a ton of laundry to do.

I've decided to change up a couple of my websites, I can't keep track of all of them and they are not getting used for the right purpose. So hopefully I'll be able to find some time to clean them up and start keeping track of them.

I'd like to make a website just for my cards and items that I carry in etsy. That's something I'll have to look into!

Anyhow laundry is calling! I'll be back again soon.

Take care,

Hello....it's been a few days!

Good morning, just realized it had been a few days since I blogged! It's been a bit crazy here, and it's going to get even more crazy! Went away for a weekend for my birthday, that's always fun, now it's catch up time.

I volunteered in Jan to make invitations for the school for my daughters graduation. Now in April when I'm swamped I realized it's for 100 invites and RSVP's and they finally picked the colours, now I have to get them done in about 4 weeks!!!!!

If you come on by to my etsy store http://harvestmoonpaper.etsy.com/ I've posted several new cards, including more for mother's day.

Here's a picture of a card that's also on etsy. I think it's really cute, and the black and white make it quite bold.

Well I'm off, got to run and watch Hannah Montana with the little one before she's off to school!

Mother's day.

I wanted to show you this card I had made for Mother's day for my online shop. I had just put it for sale late yesterday afternoon and when I woke up this morning it was sold!!! I'm so thrilled!!

I used flowers I had cut out and material flowers. Along with some buttons, brads and chalk, this card had great texture. You could feel everything popping off the page.

Thanks for looking, and if you have a minute pop into my shop and check it out

http://harvestmoonpaper.etsy.com/. And if you see anything in my sold section that you like, just contact me!

Take care and have a great day!

She's Expecting!!!

Just found out a cousin is expecting her first, and I just HAD to run and make her a card. This little mommy to be is too cute, I just love her and am thrilled to be able to use her! I loved this patterned paper too. The inside reads.....a big tummy! I thought it was cute! I'm thinking of putting one similiar in my shop, what do you think?

Good nite!

Busy Times

Well things are getting busy here, lots going on with the kids! Having a party for my daughter's confirmation and just finished making the invites! Now to get them mailed out to everyone, then start working on the decorations, thank you's......etc. But I have to say...I LOVE IT!!!! at least it keeps me crafting!

I'm posting a picture of the invites, and I'm working on a thank you/momento thingy. Once I get those done, I'll post again. I'm very excited about the momentos, a new friend I met on etsy is helping me out, can't wait.

Visit my shop if you have a free minute http://harvestmoonpaper.etsy.com/.

Take care everyone!

More photos of my paper bag album.

I decided to post a few more photos of the paper bag album as I have entered it into a design challenge. We had to use one cut from a cricut cartridge (I used PS for the letters and TBBM for all of the tags inserted in the album), green and blue paper, and ribbon, which I tied all the safety pins with ribbon and placed ribbon on several of the album pages. Wish me luck! Hope everyone had a great easter.

Couple of new Stamped cards.

I made this 2 card set using a stamping tecnique called rock and roll. Sweet simple cards with a bit of bling by glittering the centre of some of the flowers.

These are available at my shop http://harvestmoonpaper.etsy.com/

Thanks for looking, I'm off to bed!

Happy Easter everyone!

Criss Cross cards

I love making these cards, they are really quite easy too! I chose this one for the fun spring colours I had in the patterned paper. You can write whatever message you want on the insert, it gets pulled out by the large green button. They really are a fun card!

I'm putting this one up for sale in my shop. Don't forget to go over and take a peek, I'm always adding new stuff.

Have a great day!

Happy Easter

A card I made for family for easter. Although it would be easier to make one card style for all my family, that wouldn't be any fun! So I usually make a few different style cards for holidays. More fun that way and I get to play with my crafts more!

Hope your weekend is going grand!

Oh and by the way......YEAH I made my second sale on my online shop!!! If you're looking for any cards, take a peek at my shop.

Some funny cards

I had posted these cards a few days ago, but some dumb person made a comment linking to another inappropriate site, so I had to delete and repost. AAhhhh, hate those dumb people, don't they have anything better to do!

Anyhow for anyone who missed them here's a couple of funny cards I put up in my shop the other day!

Come on over to my online shop and take a look. Everyone needs a card for some occassion right!!?? I'll be adding some Mother's day cards shortly once the kiddies are back at school!

Getting Ready for St. Patty's Day!

So here are a couple of cards for my Irish friends and family that I'll be sending out. I would never of thought of Mickey and Minnie with St. Paddy's day, but saw this idea on a mb that I go to all the time. They are too cute! I have an extra set if anyone wants one! Just email me and I can even send them out to your loved ones! The Good Luck is on the inside of the Mickey card.

Take care and have a wonderful day......oh and don't forget to check out my online store http://harvestmoonpaper.etsy.com/ for some great cards!!!

I'm starting to get into SETS

So I have started listing items in my new online ETSY shop (http://harvestmoonpaper.etsy.com/) and have been leaning towards putting "sets" of cards up instead of individually. I think it's more fun to recieve a few things at once than just one card!! I really love the fleur de lis, and the colours in the patterned paper - what do you think??
Anyhow, come over and stop by Harvest Moon Paper and check out all the cards I've put on the site, especially my very BRIGHT and colourful wedding card..........I'm fed up with seeing white everywhere you know what I mean!!!
Take care and enjoy the weekend!

Saturday, March 1, 2008

OMG I did it!!!!

I finally did it!!! I have opened up my own online "shop"!!!

So I have been looking into being able to sell my crafts online, and found this great community called ETSY. I wasn't too sure about them, but when Martha Stewart features them on her show, who am I to disagree with Martha!!!

It's this wonderful place where everything that is for sale is HANDMADE and you can find unbelievable stuff. And guess what, I even accept all major credit cards!!! WOW.

So here is the link to my very own "shop" http://harvestmoonpaper.etsy.com

I've always been in love with the name Harvest Moon and now I finally get to use it. Please come by and visit, oh ya and SHOP too.........LOL!!!

So tell everyone you know, no matter where they are located, there's a new cardshop in town and it's called HARVEST MOON PAPER CREATIONS!!!!

Take care everyone,

Another card challenge !!!

I went to a great new website I had heard about and noticed that they had weekly card challenges! WOW there are some really talented ladies out there! I love looking at all their stuff, and as a bonus I get to challenge myself with all their weekly themes.

So here is my entry for their challenge this week - Friendship. I just loved this paper and had to buy the whole stack just to get this one patterned paper! Thanks for looking! Take care, Melissa

Exploding Box

Here a cute little item that can be used for lots of different occassions. I made this for my dad's birthday and put photos of the kids from the past year. The box is really cute, and when you take the lid off, the box "explodes" (not really!!!) and opens up to reveal the inside. You can also put a little something inside, chocolates etc. Thanks again for looking, have yourself a great weekend!!!!

One of my favorites sites is having a contest and we had to make a card with the spring colours of green, yellow, orange, hot pink and a bit of brown, so this is what I came up with. I'm dying to get my hands on the Paper Dolls cartridge for my Cricut machine, and that happens to be the prize!!! Have to wiat till Feb 29th before they choose a winner. Cross your fingers for me!!! More little goodies for Valentine's

So I had made these previously for someone else, and decided they would be cute as little valentine favors for my kids. The turtle has a glittered shell, and the butterflies are for the girls. These would be great for many different occasions. You can buy as little or as many as you need! Leave a comment, and I'll get back to you! Thanks.
