New in My Etsy Shop

Hello everyone, if you live in Toronto, I hope you are enjoying the wonderful weather we are having today! Awesome plus 10 here!!

Just popping in quickly to share a new card with you that I added to my Etsy shop yesterday. I kind of love the shabby chic type of look, but I'm not very good at it, so I sort of add elements of it to some of my cards. For this card, I took the scalloped squares and scrunched them all up then unfolded them and glued to the card. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it gives it sort of a warn kind of look that I really love. So there you go, another quick tip, if you want to make something look worn or rustic, just scrunch it up! Great stress reliever too! The sentiment is one of the SALEBRATION items I recieved FREE with a $60 order!! How fab is that!

Click on the link at the top right of my blog to take you to my Stampin Up! website, hit the Promotions button and find out all about SALEABRATION going on now. It's Stampin Up! biggest promotion of the year!

Hope you like the card!

Take care,

There's Something Fabulous About You!

Good morning!!

So I saw another fabulous sketch over at Cardabilities, and decided to play along again this week! So much fun! If I was more tech knowledgable I would be able to provide you with a link to their blog, but I'm not so I'll just type it in here and you can paste to your browser!

Here's my card for this week, it's going to be a birthday card for my SIL!! Hey I'm actually early with a card this month! Yeah me!!

Used the Top Note die cut from Stampin Up! and the new cupcake punch, so fun and stinking cute!! I'm also thrilled because I learned a new technique this week! See the gathered ribbon across the bottom? I finally learned how to do it! Not too bad for a first attempt. I've seen this technique on hundrends of cards and was always so jealous! I thought there was sewing or something like involved, turns out all you have to do is apply a strip of sticky tack, or whatever you use, and stick, gather and twist the ribbon where you want it, SO EASY! You'll be seeing more of this now that I learned how easy that was!! Thanks again Becky Roberts for sharing your tips with us!!

Please feel free to leave any comments or questions!!!

Also, coming soon - a new class I'm going to be holding shortly! If you love rubber stamping and paper crafting, come join me in a fun and easy new class! Details and photos to be added shortly!

Take care,

Birthday Wishes for my SIL

I made up this cute little card for one of my SIL's birthday's. Well I liked it so much, that made another one and put it up in my Etsy shop! LOL!!!

I used my cricut for the swirl/flourish cut and some Stampin Up! products for the mini top note and best wishes stamp.

Thanks for taking a peek and hopefully in the next day or two I'll share my Easter creations for my daughter's classmates. They're all finished, I just need to get a picture of them! Stampin, crafting, cardmaking I love, photographer and techy type person I am not!

With Easter fast approaching (acckkk got to get working on those little gifts for my daughters school friends!) and the kids off of school for a couple of days, and running to work and shhhhhhhh my birthday coming up, it's been crazy!

I've been absent again!

Well things are still crazy around here, and I haven't had a chance to pop in and visit, let alone any time to craft and make cards! The dance recital is over, the company has come and gone, and now all the summer activities are starting up! Where does all the time go? Not that I'm complaining, because I know in a few years they are not gonna want me to be taking them everyone or involved in so many activities, so I'm taking it all in now while I can!

As you can see, I did have a chance to make a few new cards, and I'm making triplets these days as I now have 3 places to send my cards to!! Like I wasn't busy enough! LOL!! Ok, not complaining about that either!
Take care, smell the flowers and enjoy the kids. At least that's what I'm trying to do!

It's Been Awhile......but..... I Have Some New Cards!!!

Hi There!

I'm sorry, I know it's been awhile since I visited........just too much on the go here! Anyhow over that last few days I've managed to get in a bit of crafting time and wanted to share some of my new cards with everyone. I'm pretty excited about them, they are a little bit out of my ordinary stuff. I've been experimenting with bolder colours and decided to try some bigger graphics of words, and also I've veered away from my normal birthday, wedding, Thank you cards.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! You'll find them in my etsy shop shortly if your interested.

Thanks again for following me and being so patient with me. I appreciate all the encouragement!

Take care till next time (no it won't be weeks again this time!!)
